CHARACTERISTICS OF HONEYCOMB CERAMIC REGENERATORS
- High Temperature ResistanceIn industrial high-temperature kilns, the flue gas temperature can reach 900-1300°C, and the heat resistance of honeycomb ceramic regenerators is far superior to traditional metal heat exchange materials, overcoming the disadvantage that metal materials cannot work at high temperatures for a long time.
- High Thermal Shock ResistanceThe regenerator is used in repeated heating, heat exchange and cooling conditions, and the temperature fluctuates greatly, so the regenerator needs to have a high thermal shock resistance. If the thermal shock resistance is poor, the regenerator will break or even shatter with the temperature fluctuation, which will lead to blockage of the air flow channel, increase of pressure loss, or even damage and unusability, greatly shortening the service life of the regenerator.
- High Structural StrengthHoneycomb ceramics are usually stacked for use. It is necessary to ensure that the bottom layer of honeycomb ceramics has sufficient strength to bear the weight of the upper layer at high temperatures.

- Good Corrosion ResistanceHoneycomb ceramic regenerators are usually used in working conditions with iron oxide dust, silicone gas, alkali metal gas, etc., which react with the honeycomb ceramic regenerator at high temperature to form low melting point substances, which adhere to the pore wall, hinder gas flow, reduce heat exchange efficiency, and even cause blockage of the regenerator.
