Metallized Ceramic Tube
By metallizing the designated area of the advanced ceramic tube, the purpose of sealing from the ceramic to the metal can be achieved well. After high-temperature curing in a reducing atmosphere, the metallic film can adhere tightly to Ceramic parts. Then, the resulting metalized ceramic can be directly brazed with Kovar alloy, pure copper, or stainless steel components.
To increase the wettability during the brazing process and prevent the Ceramic Metallization from oxidizing, additional metal plating is usually further covered on the metallization layer, mainly including nickel plating, gold plating, silver plating, etc.

Joining Ceramic to Metal by Metalizing and Brazing
The properties of ceramics and metals are very different. Solders often cannot wet the ceramic surface, the matching stress is relatively large, and it is not easy to form a strong and lasting connection. Therefore, a transition layer is often used, that is, a metal film is made on the ceramic surface, and then the metal film and the metal are brazed.
The metal film on the ceramic surface can be used as a preparation for the brazing of metal and ceramic, or it can exist alone as a functional device (such as thick film circuit, thick film sensor, etc.) or component (thick film electrode, etc.).
