Use of alumina ceramics:

Alumina ceramics have the advantages of low thermal expansion, high thermal conductivity, high mechanical strength and good wear resistance. The use of alumina ceramics is resistant to the erosion of gold and slag, and can also be used for special refractory materials, wear parts and tool materials for the mechanical industry, as Ceramic Insulators for the electrical, electronic industry and other industries, depending on the specific application and use, the specific properties depend on the composition and microstructure of the Alumina Ceramic.


Characteristics of the use of alumina ceramics:

1.Light weight

The bulk density of alumina ceramic is 3.65g/cm3, which is much less than half of steel.


2.Good hardness

According to the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Rockwell hardness of alumina ceramics is HRA80-90, and the hardness is only lower than diamond, far exceeding the wear resistance of stainless steel.


3.Excellent wear resistance

According to the Institute of Powder Metallurgy, Central South University in China, the wear resistance of alumina ceramics is equivalent to 266 times that of manganese steel and 171.5 times that of high chromium cast iron. Strengthening process for the use of alumina ceramics:

In order to enhance the alumina ceramics to significantly improve its mechanical strength, a new alumina ceramic strengthening process has recently been introduced abroad. The process is novel and simple, and the technology means adopted is on the surface of the alumina ceramic, using electron beam vacuum coating, sputtering vacuum coating or chemical vapor deposition, and plating a silicon compound film at 1200 °C to 1580 °C. The lower heat treatment can temper the alumina ceramic.
